“Developing ambitious local long-term climate neutrality strategies” guidance document will present main elements of LLCS, key steps to take in the development and implementation of LLCS, and practical examples from European cities that went through the process of developing long-term climate strategies for 2050, providing support for cities that intend to work actively to achieve climate neutrality for their residents in the future. Thanks to a survey conducted among local authorities in CEE countries, the specific needs of small and medium-sized towns will be included in this document, so that it will be helpful and usable in many contexts. Content of this publication will contribute to the increased knowledge about context-specific long-term climate planning, including methods for setting a long-term vision, tools for climate change communication, setting priorities and translating long-term planning into short- to midterm actions. The guidance document will be published as an e-book available on this website and print version in English, Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, Romanian, and German.
