The second Ready4NetZero workshop in Hungary was hosted by Szeged on 4 December 2024, the main topic was the selection of pilot actions. Each of the three pilot cities (Szeged, Szentes, Tatabánya) presented their pilot actions to be implemented in the framework of Read4netZero project, which will be concrete steps towards climate neutrality. Szentes is moving ahead with the development of geothermal district heating, Tatabánya is planning a corporate engagement campaign for green infrastructure maintenance and developemnt, while Szeged is likely to further exploit solar energy.

Representatives from across Europe gathered in Chemnitz, Germany, for a study visit with the purpose of advancing knowledge, sharing best practices and fostering international collaboration on energy transition and climate neutrality. The event hosted participants from Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Romania, representing municipalities, energy organizations and institutes. Over two days, they explored innovative projects, exchanged expertise and engaged in interactive activities based on the Ready4NetZero Guide to Developing Local Climate Neutral Strategies.
On October 1, 2024, in Bucharest, the conference "Integration of the local perspective in the national strategies regarding Energy and Climate" was held. The event, organized by the OER Association, brought together representatives of local and national authorities, international experts and leaders in the energy sector. They looked at various solutions for the transition to climate-neutral and energy-independent communities.
The next national workshop organised as part of the Ready4NetZero project took place on 1-2 October 2024 in Siemiatycze. The event was attended by representatives from the city offices of Siemiatycze, Cieszyn, and Piastów, as well as representatives from the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre and the Municipal Company in Siemiatycze.

On 12 June 2024, the first national workshop organised within the framework of the Ready4NetZero project took place in Jadwisin for representatives of the participating Polish pilot cities. The workshop was attended by representatives of the city of Cieszyn, Siemiatycze and Piastów.

On 11 April 2024, the first national workshop organised within the framework of the Ready4NetZero project took place in Szentes for representatives of the participating Hungarian pilot cities: Szeged, Tatabánya and the host (Szentes).
Representatives from Tatabánya, Szeged and Szentes explained how the topic of combating climate change is being addressed in the municipal election campaign (either not at all or marginally) and presented the main steps taken by the municipalities so far on this issue. In Szentes, the development of district heating based on geothermal energy is an important task with significant potentials, Tatabánya is proud of its public awareness and information campaigns, while Szeged has made good use of the Green City development programme, with large-scale public and green space improvements.

The 6th and last online event of the Ready4NetZero capacity development programme was organized on March 12, 2024, a webinar about urban energy planning and the challenge of energy poverty. More than 45 participants engaged in the topic of this event. This webinar showcased the remarkable efforts of Bydgoszcz municipality in Poland, made towards achieving energy self-sufficiency.
